Have you ever wondered whether the experience of your clients were more related to their hormones than to psychological problems? During the course of a woman’s life there are many changes in her hormonal state which can have a significant impact on mental state. Aspects of reproductive years bring about major changes too-think of childbirth, menopause for example. This workshop will encourage exploration of the impact of these changes and will include specific reference to postnatal depression and psychosis, and gynaecological problems associated with the middle years of a woman’s life.

Bill will look at the various loss issues we have to handle in a counselling situation. He will outline the latest theories and practices in handling such issues and reflect upon how it all affects the counsellor themselves. He will also bring a Christian perspective to loss issues. Please note the workshop is not suitable for anyone who has suffered a recent significant loss.

Where do I put my pain? A look at how early trauma and neglect affect body soul and spirit. The latest findings in neuroscience simply explained with teaching on trauma bonds, disorganised attachment, learned helplessness, depression and how we work effectively to bring healing (material may be triggering)
