All of our counsellors adhere to the Code of Ethics and Practice of the Association of Christian Counsellors and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, being bound by their terms and subject to their complaints procedures.
Counsellors are insured and regularly supervised by a qualified supervisor. They keep up to date by attending regular training.
Neither the content of your sessions or the fact that you are attending counselling will be divulged to anyone else, unless someone is in real danger of harm, require an appropriate referral or it is a requirement by law.
Counselling can help you find healing and wholeness, and enable you to bring positive change to your life.
Your first appointment will be an assessment to find out how we can help. It will then be arranged for a counsellor to see you each week
Counselling will usually take about six sessions, but may be more for long-standing/ deeper issues. Sessions may reduce to fortnightly or monthly.
You will decide with your counsellor when your goals have been achieved and if necessary arrange further sessions.
Payment is on a sliding scale reflecting ability to pay
